Choose what you want to keep
For a stray thought, link or meeting note, ask your connected agent to capture it with the date and source. Say whether you want it kept for later review or incorporated into an existing record. The available capture skill saves a note without deciding its priority or taking further action.
For a decision, policy or commitment, keep the agreed wording, responsible person, scope and supporting evidence. Use the appropriate record procedure rather than turning an unreviewed meeting summary into accepted policy.
Find the right home
Have the agent read the relevant map and current record before writing. Keep ongoing work in its existing area where possible, and keep information needing different access in the appropriate zone. Avoid creating competing copies of the same decision.
For an external file or connected service, use connections and capture. A connected account alone does not prove that the intended content has been imported.
Keep the source and uncertainty attached
Include where the information came from and when it applies. Separate exact statements from your interpretation and label unresolved questions. In an illustrative meeting note, record what was agreed and what was only suggested; do not convert a suggestion into a commitment.
Keep private credentials and recovery material out of ordinary records. A record’s access must fit the information it contains.
Check whether it saved or is waiting
The agent submits a proposal. The Mind’s review settings determine whether an eligible change applies immediately or waits for an authorised reviewer. Read the actual result and retain the request reference if it is held.
After an applied result, open the saved record and check its wording and location. If the response was lost, check the original request and destination before submitting another copy.
Follow the note through to a saved record
What proves the information is ready for a later question?
Prepare a note with its date, source and intended authorised destination, then submit the proposal. The Mind can apply an eligible save immediately or hold it for an authorised reviewer according to its rules. After an applied result, read the saved record. A held proposal or a lost response is not proof that the note has been saved.
Make the next question easy to answer
Once saved, ask the question that record should support and inspect the source returned. If a map needs updating, use the Mind’s supported upkeep route rather than directly replacing a generated index. Finding sources explains the navigation step.
